 Iron Maiden est un groupe de métal ou heavy metal appartenant à la NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, soit Nouvelle vague de Heavy Metal Britanique) formé en 1975 au Royaume-Uni par le bassiste Steve Harris et rejoint très rapidement par Dave Murray.

L'image du groupe

Eddie

Le groupe Iron Maiden sera souvent accusé d'être composé de Satanistes à cause de l'image donnée par la célèbre mascotte d'Iron Maiden, Eddie.

Celui-ci est en effet un espèce de mort-vivant (généralement dessiné par Derek Riggs). Il apparait sur presque toutes les pochettes du Groupe, à l'exception de quelques singles.

Au fur et à mesure de la sortie des albums de Iron Maiden, Eddie se fonde une histoire.
